Please familiarize yourself with available programs so you can identify your interest, know the requirements, and be ready to apply when the application is published and/or comes back around the following year.

Syracuse Summer Pre-College: On-Campus, Online, and On-Location

Program Grades: Ages 15+

Take classes online, on-campus, or on-location through Syracuse University.

Sewanee Summer Music Festival

Program Grades: Ages 14-18

Students compose or perform music in the Sewanee Summer Music Festival.

Brevard Music Center Summer Institute

Program Grades: Ages 14-18

Music students refine, rehearse, and recite pieces with private lessons. Programs include Orchestral Studies, Piano, Voice (Classical), Voice (Musical Theater), Jazz, Composition, Classical Guitar, Saxophone, Low Brass Seminar, and Flute Seminar.

Tisch Summer High School Program - Recorded Music

Program Grades: Rising Juniors & Seniors

The Tisch Summer High School Residential Program is an intensive, four-week pre-college program open to high school sophomores and juniors from around the world. Students apply to one of these artistic tracks: Dance, Drama, Production & Design, Dramatic Writing, Filmmaking, Game Design, Photography and Imaging, or Recorded Music.

NYU Collegiate Seminar Program

Program Grades: Juniors

The NYU Collegiate Seminar Program offers high school juniors the opportunity to experience college-level classes at a top-tier research university. Selected students will participate in one or more two-hour seminar-style classes taught by leading NYU faculty in a variety of academic subjects.

Berklee Summer Programs

Program Grades: Varies between programs, please check website

Study with world-renowned faculty at the preeminent institute for contemporary music and performing arts. Find on-campus or online summer programs for your experience level in music performance, theater, dance, music production, songwriting, and music business.

Racer Instrumental Music Academy

Program Grades: Rising freshmen to recent 12th grade graduates

Racer Instrumental Music Academy (RIMA) is a week-long summer music camp at Murray State University. Be part of a large concert band and prepare a variety of fun and challenging band literature, culminating with a final Saturday morning showcase concert.

Program Costs: $150 nonrefundable deposit required at registration (2025 All-State Participants can receive a $100 scholarship)

Vocal Arts Camp

Program Grades: Rising freshmen to recent 12th grade graduates

Choral music, musical theatre, pop a cappella and solo music will be explored throughout the week. Campers will spend the week rehearsing a variety of fun and challenging music that will be presented on the Saturday morning student showcase.

Senior High Camp 

Program Grades: 9th-12th grade

Senior High Camp is a band camp that prepares students for All-State and helps students with basic needs on their instruments.

Idyllwild Art Summer Teen Programs

Badger Precollege

Program Grades: High school students

Badger Precollege is an immersive college-prep program that allows students in grades 9-12 to take college-level courses in an area of interest of their choosing.

Interlochen Arts Camp

Program Grades: Open to All Students (Limited Space)

The Interlochen Arts Camp is for students who want to study music, theatre, visual arts, creative writing, film and new media, dance, and interdisciplinary arts.

Application Deadline: Priority deadline: January 15, 2025

They will accept applications following the deadline until program enrollment is full.
Program Dates: Program Dates vary depending on how the length of stay. The dates are generally between range of June - August.
Program Costs: Costs vary depending on length of stay (ranging from one to six weeks). Check the website for more details. Financial aid is available in some cases.

Summer Stage

Program Grades: Rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders

The program offers a unique exposure to nontraditional methodologies of creating theatre, placing them in the dual role of writer and performer. Students work with professional playwrights, poets, directors, musicians and actors to explore the process of creating a unique performance.

Arkansas Governor's School

Program Grades: Rising Seniors

The Arkansas Governor’s School is a four-week summer residential program for upcoming high school seniors who are residents of the state of Arkansas. Students are selected on the basis of their special aptitudes in one of the nine fields: Choral Music, Development Engineering, Drama, English/Language Arts, Instrumental Music, Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Science, and Visual Arts.

Music - Pre-College Programs - Carnegie Mellon University

Program Grades: 16+ and Sophmore or Junior

Pre-College Music consists of private studio lessons, major performing ensembles, and music support courses.
