Please familiarize yourself with available programs so you can identify your interest, know the requirements, and be ready to apply when the application is published and/or comes back around the following year.
Program Grades: High school students
This scholarship is awarded to students who are able to get a piece of work (history-related) published in The Concord Review and who present academic promise.
Application Opens: Rolling admissions
Application Deadline: Deadlines to be considered for specific issues are August 1 (Winter), November 1 (Spring), February 1 (Summer) and May 1 (Fall).

Admission Fee (for each essay): $70
Profile in Courage Essay Contest
Program Grades: High school students
Students are to write an original essay that displays their knowledge of political courage enacted by the U.S. The essay’s word count is from a maximum of 1,000 words to a minimum of 700 (not including citations).

Application Deadline: January 17, 2025
American Foreign Service National H.S. Essay Contest
Program Grades: Students in grades 9-12 whose parents are not in the Foreign Service
Students are to write about what they believe to be the most difficult challenge for Foreign Service in the future and how American diplomats could aid and mitigate said issue.
Application Opens: October 30, 2024
Application Deadline: March 1, 2025
Program Grades: High school students
Students are able to compete in 'thinking' games against other people, consisting of events like the memorization of 135 names and faces, a shuffled deck of cards, an unpublished poem, and speed numbers.
